The annual Congregational Retreat is a great time to get away from the “grind” and relax, fellowship with other members of the church, and participate in some in-depth Bible study. Below is a typical example of what you can expect on a Retreat weekend. (Some of the fees may have increased slightly since this particular example year.)

FAMILY CONGREGATIONAL RETREAT (1999 Example)

Hear ye! Hear ye!  Come join us at FDR State Part as we celebrate the 8th Annual Mt Calvary Family Congregational Retreat October 1-3, 1999. This year*s theme:

“You Talking To ME? The Art Of Christian Communication.”

FDR State Park is located near Pine Mountain, GA. We have reserved the large family camp ground which has a group dining hail, covered pavilions, cabins, community bath/shower facilities, nature trails, and a lake for all to enjoy. The cabins are rustic but do have electrical outlets/lights. Bed linens are not provided, but bed bugs are! (Not really, but we are out in a natural setting and critters are critters!)

    Fees: Age 14 and up: $16.00; Age 3 to 13: $11.00; Age 0 to 2: Free

Parking Fee: $2. 00 per vehicle

This is an excellent opportunity for Christian fellowship of all ages.

Meals are included in the fees identified above. Activities include games; bible studies; sing-alongs; campfire; fishing; canoeing (bring your own life vests); etc.

Further details on this EXCELLENT ADVENTURE will be forthcoming in next months newsletter and on the activities bulletin board.
