“Connecting people to Jesus and to one another to serve the world”
One of the ways that we at Mount Calvary often share the joy of our Salvation is through the many fellowship opportunities available! We’d like you to join us in one or more of our many activities throughout the year for young and old, and anywhere in between!*

The Valentine Dinner is normally held in the Michael Fellowship Area in the church lower level. The dinner arrangements are taken care of by our Fellowship Committee and is normally served by our Senior Youth.
After the dinner, tradition has it that 3 couples are randomly selected from the guests, and they are brought up on stage for a game in the form of the Newlywed Game of yesteryear. The laughs seem to be never-ending.
The Annual Picnic is normally held sometime in late May and we usually gather at Fountain Park on Kimberly Road. The cuisine is potluck, and another tradition is that a pig is barbecued on site and made available for all to enjoy.
After enjoying the meal, softball, horseshoes and other games are usually played by those of sports persuasion. Others take the opportunity to just to get better acquainted with their brothers and sisters in Christ.
Be sure to see the details on the special 25th Anniversary Picnic this year at Vinson Valley Park! Click here for information.

The AnnualChurchRetreat occurs either the last weekend in September or the first weekend in October, and has been a tradition at Mount Calvary for about 15 years. It is a chance to get away from the concerns and responsibilities of our daily lives, study God’s Word, fellowship with one another, and just “get away from it all” for a weekend with Christian friends.
For much more detailed information about the Retreat, click here or the photo to the left.
The Thanksgiving Dinner is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy traditional Thanksgiving dinner together. This is especially meaningful for those persons who may not be able to attend dinner with family or friends whom they might otherwise be with in normal circumstances.
The dinner has traditionally been held on Thanksgiving Day in the Michael Fellowship Area in the church lower level. It is a potluck arrangement, with the participants providing a main dish and/or a vegetable and dessert.

The ChristmasProgressiveDinner is a really fun tradition here at Mount Calvary. This is strictly for adult members of the congregation.
The dinner starts with appetizers at the homes of two or more of our members, who have graciously allowed us to borrow their homes for an hour or so of fellowship.
Then, the participants migrate to the Michael Fellowship Area at the Church, where we are served a delicious main course, often followed by a seasonal skit.
Finally we progress to the desserts at the homes of two additional member families.
*Note: The Valentine and Christmas Dinners are the only large group events where we would ask that only adults 18 and older participate. These are designed to be a special evening out for parents and grandparents, as well as single adults in the Congregation. Baby sitting is provided in the church nursery.
